The Seoul Webfest, an international festival, said in a press release, “The 8th annual web-specialized international festival Seoul Webfest will be held at the Lotte City Hotel L Convention in Guro from August 18 to 20.
A total of 191 officially selected works, including 151 films from 28 overseas countries and 40 domestic films, will participate in this festival.
It is divided into web movies, shorts, web series, web dramas, and pilots. By genre, drama 25%, comedy 20%, short film (web short) 15%, drama (drama + comedy) 15%, thriller, horror, science fiction 10%, the remaining 15% pilot, web documentary, web Education, YouTuber video, animation, etc.
The official selection order for each country is Korea, USA, Canada, Canada, Singapore, Russia, Australia, UK, France, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, China, New Zealand, Netherlands, Switzerland, Colombia, etc.
If you look at Korean works that catch your attention, most of them are branded web dramas. A total of 13 films were invited, including the video content <Seoul Story Contest>, the winner of the <Seoul Story Contest>, and a video produced using old stores selected by the Seoul Metropolitan Government as materials or backgrounds in 2021.” said.
He continued, “We will also present the seventh Yeosu tourism romance branded series <Rainbow> in Yeosu. Actor Jo Dong-hyuk, Idol Bigflo's Rex (Hyung-min Hyung), and Cherry Bullet Chaerin (Park Chae-rin) appeared.
Popular works include the romance mystery mystery <@User Not Found> starring Jinyoung Bae of the group CIX,
the 'idol drama' <Broke Rookie Star> starring Astro Rocky,
the romance web drama <Two Different Woojoo> starring Actress Lee Soo-min and the group SF9's Inseong.
The mystery romance thriller <Find Me If You Can> starring K-pop idol ASTRO Rocky, MJ and Moonbin.
The web drama <Shin Ji-ki> starring Lee Yeol-eum, and the thriller <Special Real Estate Agent Oh Deok-hoon> starring Joo I-an, who was active in the idol group Halo, will also be presented.”

Also, "Actor Kim Myeong-ho and former member of The Seeya, singer-actress Song Min-kyung, have been selected as public relations ambassadors, raising expectations even more. Actor Kim Myung-ho was nominated for Best Actor at an overseas film festival for Season 1 of the web drama Secretly Sweetly.
The Seoul Webfest Awards Ceremony begins on the afternoon of Saturday, August 20th, followed by a K-Pop performance, photo wall photo shoot, red carpet, and awards ceremony.”
